Boyd Owen

An incredible addition to the world of cross-over, Songno is Boyd’s most ambitious work to date. Produced from start to finish, including all composition, recording and post production, in only 2.5 months; Songno boasts a stellar line up of performers, composers and producers.

Songno is a combination of the English word ‘song’ and the Italian word ‘dream’ reflecting the emotional colours evoked by the lyrics and music of the album.

With completely original songs by celebrated film composer Daniel Thornton and Joshua Owen. Sogno features a combination of contemporary pop ballads and cinematic orchestral, choral and classical pieces: including the stunning duet with Estonian pop princess Hanna-Liina Vosa In this Place, the soaring Mio Mondo, the violin/vocal duet Sing Sweet Song and The River.

Conductor Andrew Wales was at the helm of The Australian Children’s Choir, members of The Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra and a 40 strong symphonic choir. Other exceptional artists include violinist James Steendham members of the Yarra Trio and special guests The Josh Owen Band.

Boyd hopes you enjoy Songno...

Amigos Para Siempre

The Ten Tenors latest CD/DVD is now on sale in Australia. Recorded in August 2009 in Madrid, Luke, as part of The Ten Tenors, had unforgettable whirlwind experience recording this CD/DVD with the RTVE Orchestra. The result is a powerful and touching performance by The Ten Tenors – you’ve never heard TTT sound this magnificent.

Here’s what The Ten Tenors had to say in their official press release:

“Ten Australian Amigos have been touring the world continuously for almost a decade, waving the Australian flag proudly whilst showcasing some of the finest voices and incandescent entertainers the lucky country has ever produced.

The Ten Tenors’ powerful live show continues to impress and inspire audiences globally, and held no exception when the Radio Television Espanola (RTVE) Orchestra saw a Ten Tenors show in Madrid in 2009. A unique opportunity was recognised by RTVE to capture a truly incredible moment in classical music and share the experience with home audiences around the world.

In early 2009, the RTVE Orchestra invited The Ten Tenors to return to Madrid in July that year to record a live TV Special for their Spanish audience. For the first time ever, the orchestra shared the stage with a feature artist for the duration of a TV Special, making this a unique moment in the broadcasters’ history.

The result is Amigos Para Siempre; a DVD/CD package featuring a total of 26 audio and visual tracks that represent strong ties to Spain, along with tenor classics and nostalgic favourites.

The Ten Tenors Manager, D-J Wendt enthused “This exciting event highlights the strength only The Ten Tenors can furnish the classical crossover genre with, and is complimented beautifully with the delicate collaboration of this very fine orchestra”.

A truly memorable performance, with exceptional sound quality, this is the ideal gift for Mothers this Mother’s day and the perfect compliment to tickets to The Ten Tenors brand new show The Power of Ten which is currently touring Australia and New Zealand.”

Amigos Para Siempre is released on Friday 7th May through Warner.
